The care team is made up of the clinical nurse managers, staff nurses, healthcare assistants and the activities coordinators. All our nursing staff are registered with An Bord Altranais and are encouraged to become members of the INMO. All our nurses are from different backgrounds and all bring something different and unique to our team.
Nurses are encouraged and facilitated to continue their professional development within the area of Gerontology. All Health Care Assistants have a Fetac Level 5 certification or equivalent in health care studies. In-house, training is conducted regularly for all members of our healthcare team.
There are two full-time activities coordinators, both are certified at FETAC level 5 in health care and have completed further training in the area of Activities coordination.
The care team are dedicated to the provision of efficient, affectionate and individualised care to the residents of Coral Haven. The care team spend time getting to know each resident as an individual, building empathic and trusting relationships.
The main ethos of care in Coral Haven is to understand the resident’s likes, dislikes, and preferences while appreciating what is meaningful to them. Together with an understanding of the individuality of each resident, this allows for the provision of personal, individual, meaningful and holistic care in accordance with their needs.
