The Management Team are responsible for coordinating the delivery of person-centred care, tailored to an individual’s needs.
Their aim is to provide the most appropriate service that responds to each resident’s unique set of needs and to discuss, review and determine ongoing clinical and operational issues throughout Coral Haven.
Both Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) are committed to person–centred care and changing attitudes within nursing practice towards restraints and maintenance of a restraint free environment at Coral Haven.

Rory commenced his career as a Registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability (RNID) at St. Mary’s Drumcar from 1977 to 1980. He undertook a post-grad in Psychiatric Nursing (RPN) at St John of God Hospital from 1981 to 1982. He has worked with the Brothers of Charity Services from 1982 to 2006 in various clinical and managerial capacities culminating to manager of Woodbridge Services. He was an elected member of An Bord Altranais from 1985 to 1991.
Following his time with the Brothers of Charity, Rory moved to RehabCare where he was Community Services Manager from 2007 to 2012 and moved on to Team Leader ABI Service from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Rory moved into the nursing home environment and assumed the position of Director of Nursing in Oughterard Manor from 2015 to 2016. In 2016 he moved to Millrace Nursing Home in Ballinasloe as Director of Nursing and Person in Charge until recently.
Rory is delighted to be joining Coral Haven Nursing Home and will continue the commitment in maintaining the highest level of care to all our residents. Rory is a firm advocate of person centred care and places great emphasis on a warm homely environment which is tailored to each individual. Respect for all who come into contact with Coral Haven is very important to Rory and his team of dedicated staff. Anna began her nursing career in her hometown in Poland in 2001. Anna continued to develop in the profession over the next few years working in a variety of disciplines. Anna has experience in surgical, medical, dermatology, toxicology and dialysis.
Anna found her love for Gerontology nursing when she came to Ireland in 2006. While waiting for her Irish nursing registration she worked as a Health Care Assistant in Coral Haven.
Once registered with An Bord Altranais she worked as a staff nurse throughout all areas of the home and took over the role of senior staff nurse in 2011. After 5 years participating in management, she was appointed Clinical Nurse Manager.
Anna has a keen interest in nutrition and regularly completes weight audits and monitors diets in Coral Haven.
She is a strong advocate for ‘residents choice’ and places great emphasis on the importance of attention to detail in the preparation of residents personal care.
Anna is very knowledgeable and experienced in management of wounds and dressing techniques and regularly attends study sessions and professional development courses to ensure she is up to date with best practise.
She was an integral part in the promotion of a restraint free environment in Coral Haven. Anna plays a direct role in assisting the PIC in her duties and assumes the role in her absence.
Teresa is from Galway and always had an interest in Gerontology Nursing. She entered Nursing with a view to pursuing a career in this area.
Teresa Studied in NUI Galway and graduated with a degree in General Nursing in 2010. Teresa worked as a care assistant for local home care providers, while at college, providing care to elderly people in their own home.
After a short placement on a surgical ward, Teresa jumped at the opportunity to join the team in Coral Haven. She began her learning in elder care and is committed to becoming an expert in this area of nursing. She has worked as a staff nurse in the different areas of the home but has a particular affiliation and interest for the dementia specific unit. In 2014 she took on the role of lead staff Nurse and was appointed Clinical Nurse Manager in 2016.
Teresa continues to attend study sessions and courses especially in relation to Dementia. She is always keen to have the most up to date information regarding behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with dementia and is dedicated to putting theory into practice.
Teresa is experienced and knowledgeable in the end of life care process and is committed to providing the highest standard of care to both residents and relatives ensuring their needs and wishes are adhered to.
Teresa is focussed on bed management and is very involved in the assessment of new residents prior to admission to Coral Haven.
She has also played a role in the promotion of a restraint free environment in Coral Haven.
Anne has worked in Coral Haven since 2009. Anne is likely to be the first person you will be in contact with when considering Coral Haven as a Nursing Home for yourself or a loved one. Anne will continue to be the first person you will meet when entering the home, always welcoming with a warm smile.
Anne manages accounts and payroll and is the contact person for billing. She has an extensive knowledge of the fair deal scheme and finance from private health insurers.
Anne also assists in bed management communicating directly with the discharge coordinator from local hospitals, social workers and inquiring families.
Throughout the years, Anne has built up a rapport with residents and relatives. She has become a source of advice within the home for relatives and staff if Anne does not know the answer she will go out of her way to find it. Residents look forward to her visits each morning when she delivers their post and daily newspaper.
She continues to keep herself up to date with accounts management and safeguarding and is an integral part of the Coral Haven management and operation.
